Why does my browser show "Your Connection is Not Private" when trying to load my custom domain?

In some cases you may encounter an error saying that the connection to your custom domain is not secure. An example of this error message in a Chrome browser window can be found below.

This error message will appear when a SSL security certificate has not been configured for your domain.  If you have submitted a request with support to have this certificate completed it may take a few days to be active with your domain.  If you have not submitted a request to have this certificate activated ensure that all steps in this custom domain document have been completed and then contact support.

Be aware that although disabling HTTPS in your App Security tab will remove this error that it will make your app vulnerable and insecure.
