What is the Polls & Feedback module?

POLLS & FEEDBACK

The Polls & Feedback module is your array of interactive tools for engaging attendees. Whether you want feedback about your event, topical opinions, or a Q&A forum, customizing the Polls & Feedback module to fit your event is just a matter of asking the right questions.

You can attach questions to particular sessions, include them in a survey for the event as a whole, display the results live, and solicit questions from your audience live during a session. You can even track who responded or, if you prefer, keep all the responses anonymous. After your event, downloadable results make it easier than ever to gather and analyze excellent qualitative and quantitative data from your attendees.


WHICH TYPE SHOULD I USE?

Figuring out which tab to use is about answering three questions:

1. Do you want the questions to be associated with a particular session?

These questions are part of a session.
These questions are not associated with a specific session.

2. Do you need to communicate the audience's responses to the presenter or back to the audience?
Yes, these questions are part of the session's content.
No, these questions are just for feedback that we will analyze afterwards.

3. Are you asking the questions or are the questions coming from the audience?
I am asking the questions and the audience is responding.
The audience is asking the questions and the presenter is responding.

LIVE POLLS

Live polls are just what they sound like. During a session, you or your speakers can direct questions to your audience live, leveraging their expertise and collective intelligence to crowdsource content and allowing them to go from passive observers to active participants. Get instant feedback, opinions and preferences, and other contributions from your attendees, then display them live so the speaker or presenter can use that interactively in their session.


CREATING A LIVE POLL
1. Click Create New Poll.
2. Select the session under which you would like the poll to appear.
3. Click Add Question.
4. Enter your question, select the question type, and input any necessary options for answers. Click Save Question when you're finished customizing each question. For multiple choice and ratings questions, select a chart type for displaying the results live.
5. Click Save Poll.

 

To view the question's results,
1. Switch to the Results tab.
2. Expand the relevant session.
3. Click Customize to customize the Results page's colours, text size, etc.
4. Click Results to open the live Results page. This URL is unique to this question and can be shared with speakers, presenters, or your AV team as needed. You do not need access to the Content Manager to view the live results via the Results page.


If you want the question to remain visible but you don't want attendees to be able to submit responses to it, you can close the question from the Results tab.
1. Switch to the Results tab.
2. Expand the relevant session.
3. Click Close Question to prevent responses and Open Question to allow them again.


 

ASK A QUESTION

Ask a Question allows your attendees to submit questions, comments, and other feedback -- all of which you can moderate -- to your speakers or presenters live during their sessions. Whether you use it straightforwardly to ask the speaker questions or creatively to crowdsource content, Ask a Question is a powerful engagement tool during sessions.


Questions are visible to everyone in the Ask a Question forum and can be voted up to the top of the list.

 

SESSION FEEDBACK

Designed to replace post-session surveys, Session Feedback allows you to embed questions right in your session pages so people can respond from the same page they're already using to take notes, access session materials, and review other session information. Apply them to every session within an agenda or track, or select specific sessions. 


CREATING A SESSION FEEDBACK FORM
1. Click Create Feedback Form.
2. Select the sessions you would like the feedback questions to appear under (all sessions within an agenda, all sessions within selected tracks, or specific sessions).
3. Click Add Question.
4. Enter your question, select the question type, and input any necessary options for answers. Click Save Question when you're finished customizing each question. For multiple choice and ratings questions, select a chart type for displaying the results live.
5. Click Save Poll.
 

EVENT SURVEYS

Event surveys are perfect for collecting feedback about the conference as a whole and, because they're independent from any sessions on the app, you can link to them from in-app alerts and any other correspondence. Event surveys are a great way to keep the attendee engagement going after your event has ended.


CREATING AN EVENT SURVEY
1. Click Create Event Survey.
2. Name your event survey.
3. Click Add Question.
4. Enter your question, select the question type, and input any necessary options for answers. Click Save Question when you're finished customizing each question. For multiple choice and ratings questions, select a chart type for displaying the results live.
5. Click Save Survey.
