Why don’t speakers appear in the Attendees listing?

AREN'T SPEAKERS ALSO ATTENDEES?

While speakers are presumably attending the event, the app is a tool for attendees. From their perspective, speakers and other attendees are interesting for different reasons. As such, they have different profiles and locations on the app, which makes it easier for attendees at your event to distinguish between the two. So, at this time, speaker and attendee profiles are completely unrelated to each other. Creating a speaker profile does not automatically create an attendee profile for that speaker in your app.

CAN I ADD THEM AS ATTENDEES?

Of course, you're free to give your speakers attendee profiles as well. With our Import function, you can add all of your speakers to your Attendees listing in a few minutes using Excel. Depending on your permission settings in the Attendee Settings tab, you can also advise them to create an attendee profile by logging into the app as an attendee and clicking Profile in the attendee dashboard that appears when they log in. Only attendee profiles can be created and edited in this way; speaker profiles cannot be edited by logging into the app. To allow speakers to edit their own profiles, you can send them self-edit links from the Content Manager by clicking the Email Profile button next to their speaker profile.
