How Can I Organize My Ask a Question Surveys in a Module?

Incorporating a Q&A session at your event can be easily achieved using our Ask a Question survey type. This option, however, must be accessed directly from a session within the Agenda. Depending on the nature of your event, you may want to use this survey type to fit a general purpose, or to make it easily accessible from the app menu instead. There are a couple of tricks that you can follow to achieve just this, depending on if you are looking to use a single Ask a Question survey, or multiple. 


Single Ask A Question Survey in It's Own Easily Accessible Module

Follow the steps listed below to make a single Ask a Question survey accessible from the app menu, after you have created it in the Polls & Feedback module of your Content Manager. 

Find The Unique Link For Your Ask a Question Survey

  1. Enter your Event App URL into a new browser window. If you are unsure of what URL to use, you can find it located in the Event Info section of your Content Manager. 
  2. Navigate to the session containing your survey, and select the Ask a Question tab to open it. 
  3. Copy the URL contained in your browser page when the Ask a Question survey page is open. 

Creating Your Ask a Question Module 

  1. In the App Design Studio of your Content Manager, open the 'Sections' tab and select the Add a Module option. 
  2. Enter in the name that you would like to display for your module, and choose Direct Link from the drop down menu options, then Save. If you like, you can also update the module placement and icon before proceeding. 
  3. Go back to the Content Manager to access the module you just created, and paste in the URL that you previously copied. Save your change.

Multiple Ask a Question Surveys Accessible From One Module

Follow the steps listed below to make all of your Ask a Question surveys accessible from one module in the app menu, after you have created them in the Polls & Feedback section of your Content Manager.

Finding A Unique Link For Each Ask a Question Survey

  1. Enter your Event App URL into a new browser window. If you are unsure of what URL to use, you can find it located in the Event Info section of your Content Manager. 
  2. Navigate to the session containing your survey, and select the Ask a Question tab to open it. 
  3. Copy the URL contained in your browser page when the Ask a Question survey page is open. Make sure to paste the information somewhere that you can reference it later, such as an Excel sheet.
  4. Repeat these steps for all the Ask a Question surveys you would like to include.

Creating A Page For Your Ask a Question Links

  1. In the Info Booth Module of your Content Manager, select the Add Page option.
  2. Provide a title for your Page and select the Rich Text button on the 'Page Content' description box. 
  3. Create a hyperlink by typing in the text you would like to display, highlighting it and choosing the chain icon from the Rich Text menu. In the pop-up box that appears, paste the unique URL for your Ask a Question survey. Repeat these steps for each of your links, and save the page when you are done. 

Creating Your Ask a Question Module 

  1. In the App Design Studio of your Content Manager, open the 'Sections' tab and select the Add a Module option. 
  2. Enter in the name that you would like to display for your module, and choose Direct Link from the drop down menu options, then Save. If you like, you can also update the module placement and icon before proceeding. 
  3. Open your app in a browser window, and navigate to the page you created earlier. Copy the URL that appears in your browser when you open this page. 
  4. Go back to the Content Manager to access the module you just created, and paste in the URL that you previously copied. Save your change.
  5. To hide the Info Booth page you initially created, access the Customize tab and select the Hide option before saving.
